Development Pathway | Worthing
The Development pathway has been set up to create a bridge between our beginner and advanced groups.
The sessions are designed to take a player that has the basic shots and movement patterns and to refine and improve them, so that if the player wishes, they could consider playing competitive badminton in the future.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who are these sessions aimed at?
The sessions are meant for younger players who are looking to take their badminton more seriously, aiming to play at a County and possibly national circuit level.
Can I attend any location?
Players can attend as many locations as they would like. We currently provide Development coaching at Steyning Leisure Centre, Worthing Leisure Centre and the Bridge Sports Centre in Broadbridge Heath.
Does the player need to be supervised by a parent / guardian during the session?
No, parents or guardians can leave their child at the session but must return prior to the sessions finishing time and should provide a contact number.
What about payment?
Shuttlers has a flexible approach. Payment can be made at each session via a card or cash or sessions can be paid in monthly blocks.
Do I need any equipment or specialised clothing?
We can provide rackets if you inform us before the session but it would be advisable for the player to have their own. Clothing should be designed for sport and allow the player full range of movement. Dedicated indoor training shoes are necessary.
